Whether your company tests relays manually, utilizes one or more brand of test set or plans to expand in the future, you have two choices: You can utilize the hardware manufacturers’ software exclusively designed for their test sets, or purchase one software package that can control your existing and future test sets. If you have test sets from different manufacturers, test routines must be written for each manufacturer’s test software. Using multiple test software packages to do testing means that the tests will never be standardized. The data acquired during testing will be saved in different databases, thus consolidating reports becomes difficult, confusing, and inefficient.

ENOSERV RTS allows you to utilize one routine for a specific type of relay and test that type of relay with any test set. For example, instead of having three different routines on three different programs for a CO-9 relay, one routine on RTS can test all CO-9 relays no matter which test set you are using. Plus, the database in RTS is set up in a way that makes sense so finding specific relays on your system and their associated history is very easy. A tier-order approach guides your selections to the specific device you need to test or examine.

The ENOSERV RTS database is Microsoft ACCESS, which makes data manipulation and report generation very simple. The structure of the database was designed for flexibility. It allows you to integrate both the relay setting and relay testing databases. This highly versatile database can also be used for keeping track of relay-testing intervals.

ENOSERV PowerBase:

ENOSERV developed PowerBase to help different workgroups get connected and know what’s going on with relays. By offering a database that shares critical relay data across several platforms, PowerBase helps companies achieve a complete, secure, and accurate repository for relay lifecycle data, including test records and settings.

PowerBase is a substation settings management system that stores, tracks & shares relay data from testing software like RTS and ProTesT to system simulation software like CAPE, and even to overall maintenance management systems like Cascade. By providing a common location for all relay data to reside, PowerBase connects different P&C workgroups in a way that still allows independence and flexibility for a system-wide solution that helps Users manage immense amounts of relay data securely.

PowerBase eliminates the manual paper-based process of transferring setting sheets and reporting test results. Instead of volumes of paper records, PowerBase holds electronic records of all relay lifecycle data including test results, test routines and settings. Because the relay records in PowerBase import and export electronically between other systems, manual entry errors are eliminated and reporting becomes automatic. No other system will enable quicker, more accurate, or clearer analyses of a relay’s condition.

ENOSERV Vector:

Verify your entire protection scheme by simulating multiple fault conditions over satellite-synchronized end-to-end testing. ENOSERV Vector finds potential failures in your system by enabling a holistic view of relay performance that can’t be attained with functional testing alone.

ENOSERV Vector simulates complex misoperations with definable events that technicians can easily establish within a clear and flexible interface. Any characteristic can be drawn quickly and Vector even imports fault simulation data from other software sources. Vector will also operate the same test sets ENOSERV RTS supports.

Testing Services:

When you work with ENOSERV Field Services, you tap into a knowledge base of thousands of relays tested nationwide. That's a lot of horsepower and expertise at your disposal.

Every company has unique challenges when it comes to relay testing. Our team of professional relay technicians is battle-tested and has a diverse range of experience, having implemented relay testing solutions for customers in many different companies.

ENOSERV uses ENOSERV RTS software for automated relay testing that will always outperform methods used by other service providers. 400 industry-proven pre-written automated relay test plans are at our technicians' disposal. Reports generate automatically and data can be transferred electronically.

ENOSERV Field Services offers a variety of customizable relay testing services to facilitate fast, seamless testing. Services include:

  • Acceptance & Commissioning-
  • Preventative Maintenance-
  • Calibration-
  • End-to-end Testing

Development Solutions:

ENOSERV already provides the most advanced relay testing and substation settings management software available. But the shrink-wrapped, off-the-shelf software applications are only part of a utility’s total relay management solution. Today’s modern protection equipment is increasingly complex and requires adaptive technologies that will enhance, not hinder, the new capabilities now available.

  • Data conversions and validation-
  • Systems integration-
  • Custom modules and applications

Ultimately, ENOSERV wants clients to be able to use existing systems without compromising flexibility and performance for the sake of integration and standardization. Contact ENOSERV for solutions to automate the relay data exchange between your systems.
