AFAQ-ETA is the London based training arm of the worldwide AFNOR Group of companies. Our main activities are distance learning courses for the global power sector and Quality Management Systems training programmes to support ISO certification.
Open Learning Resources for the Power Industry
AFAQ-ETA provides specialist training for the electricity industry. Ranging from introductory awareness courses to highly technical professional development programmes, our courses address many of the training issues facing the sector. Whether you are new to the industry or an experienced power worker, our training format can help you to develop your full potential.
Structure of the courses
The courses are written in easy to understand, plain English, and are illustrated with clear descriptive diagrams. Each module is divided into easily-identifiable sections which allow you to manage your time and course content depending on your circumstances. Many of the courses incorporate quizzes to help you check your progress and ensure that you are on track. Certain programmes include tutor-marked assignments, where students submit work for marking by an external expert. On successful completion of these specialist courses, candidates receive an industry recognised certificate detailing the modules completed and the marks achieved. In addition, some companies designate in-house mentors to help and encourage students, to monitor progress and advice on study planning, etc. In short, through your mentor or your tutor, you can be sure that you`ll have all the specialist support that you need.
