We offer an extensive range of insulation solutions for engines. Our insulation products are installed on manifolds, turbo chargers, exhaust piping, silencers, and purifiers. And we offer industrial sound insulation solutions in partnership with industry leading engine manufacturers and consultants.
Engine Insulation Blankets
Firwin removable and reusable insulation blankets are specially designed to fit around manifolds, turbochargers, elbows, pipe sections, flexes and fittings. Our insulating blankets are fitted and laced together using special stainless steel wire. Other fastening methods are available on request. Once we understand your needs we will recommend the materials best suited for your situation.
We have metal cased blankets to shield cabling, rubber hoses and electronic controls & sensors.
Engine Library
We have an extensive library of tested Patterns for a wide range of engine manufacturers and models, silencers, purifiers.
In the ever-evolving marketplace with new models being introduced each year where we do not have information, we seek out the appropriate model and design patterns.

Insulation Blankets for Gen-sets
Firwin manufactures removable and reusable insulation blankets for engine powered equipment, generators and co-gen power systems. We supply blankets for manifolds, manifold to turbo piping, turbochargers, solenoid and wiring.
All of our insulation blankets are custom designed using the latest technology and quality materials to provide exceptional heat and noise control at temperatures up to 2000ºF (1100ºC).

Exhaust Piping Insulation Blankets
Firwin insulation blankets are specially designed for exhaust piping/elbows allowing for hangers/ brackets, flanges, clamps etc.
Firwin also makes special blankets for flex connectors, bellows and expansion joints. The insulation materials used allows for contraction, expansion and vibration. However these blankets are not exhaust leak shields. Once we understand your needs we will recommend the materials best suited for your situation. Our insulation blankets are designed to meet case specific conditions.
Insulation Blankets for Silencers, Purifiers, etc.
Silencers
Firwin makes blankets for silencers and purifiers of all sizes. Depending on safety requirements these blankets can be up to 4" thick.
All of our blankets can be manufactured to allow for hangers/brackets/supports, and side or end inlet/outlet piping.
Firwin insulation blankets contain up to 80% of heat loss. And they maintain the temperature until the engine is switched off.
Purifiers and SCRs
The increased legal requirement of exhaust pollution containment has made the quickest possible effective burn off very important when using catalytic purifiers, scrubbers, and SCR’s. Effective heat containment speeds up the time for the catalyst to reach the minimum effective temperature for effective pollutant burn off.
